Cross over

Kate Hart
Awhile back I posted about opinions, snark and general civility. Today I came across two more excellent posts on the topic: Agent Nathan Bransford warns against calling other writers' work "trash," and author Myra McEntire suggests that if "you don't have something nice to say, shut the hell up." I officially love them both... especially Myra, for her unabashed love of sparkly vampires.*

Unrelated, except that it is about writing: In a weird coincidence, one of my favorite sustainability blog authors has an unrelated children's book coming out, and one of my favorite quilt bloggers has a neat entry on perspective that crosses over very well to writing.

*They've been around awhile but if you haven't seen them and you haven't blown coffee out of your nose yet today, get over to "Growing Up Cullen" and Cleolinda's recaps, STAT.**

**Only sparkly vampire fans with a sense of humor should click those links.

  1. Tee hee! I can't deny it. I just CAN'T. Long live sparkalay vampires! Which, yanno, probably won't be a problem. Since they're immortal. And .. fictional.

I'm so glad to see you're writing! That's the way writing started for me, and I think that's the best way to continue. You just decide to write, and then you do. And then you do again, and again, and again.

And then you can't stop. Go get 'em, tiger.

  2. I feel like a celebrity, getting a comment from Myra! :) Thanks for the encouragement!

  3. LOL! I just need to know where to get the Cullen men dancing in the Jeep. It is so happy-making it's inspirational!

  4. I honestly have no idea where I found it! I'm guessing Photobucket though. Feel free to right click and save for your own diabolical uses. ;)
