Happy Birthday Dr Seuss!

Kate Hart
March 2nd is Read Across America Day, honoring the birthday of Dr Seuss. We're big fans around here-- my husband's high school bedroom had an enormous mural of Seuss characters, including a star-bellied sneech, and my boys are putting his old copies of Seuss books to good use. So in celebration, here are a few fun Seussical projects.

For Kids:
Dr Seuss hat at No Time For Flashcards  and another at the Kansas City Public Library

Cat hat treats and cookies

A-freaking-dorable crocheted cat hat

Thing 1 and Thing 2 crowns

All the Whos down in Whoville are wearing cute hats

Cuuuute Cat in the Hat diaper cake

Play green eggs and ham in crochet or felt-- or make the real thing!

For Anyone:
Can cozy
Seuss style birdfeeder

Fun for a Seuss-inspired room: Outlet and light switch covers

One of my favorite Seuss quotes:
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
