Road Trip Wednesday: En Fuego

Kate Hart
YA Highway says: "Your house is on fire and you can only grab five things. What are they?"

Obviously working from the assumption that family and pets are fine:
Top left
My writing notebooks, conveniently packaged in one backpack so I can take them all.

Bottom left
A painting my mother-in-law did of the Ponte Vechio in Florence, where the husband and I bought our wedding rings.

The most complicated quilt I've ever made. (I'm assuming Bullseye, the little horse below it, went out with my youngest. Bullseye is also pretty essential.)

Top right
A drawing my oldest did of "Mommy and Daddy hugging each other." The husband framed it for me for Christmas.

Bottom right
I'd take my laptop, but it was easier to take a picture of my external hard drive.

Head over to YA Highway and play along!

  1. Wow - I'm in awe. You quilted that?! Definitely worth saving.

And an awwww smile is still on my face from the pic your daughter drew. Mine still does that - and she's twelve. Love it.

  2. OMG, you must have some infinite patience to quilt that.

  3. That quilt is awesome. I can't even imagine all of the time it took to make it. Definitely something worth saving!

  4. That quilt is GORGEOUS. The painting is amazing too. Definitely worth saving.

  5. The most ambitious/complicated quilt I've done is a T-shirt quilt. Which hardly qualifies. But I might still grab it . . .

  6. I LOVE the way you answer questions--they are so creative :) And that quilt does look pretty difficult.

  7. Aww! The mommy and daddy hugging is adorable! And that quilt is gorgeous!

  8. Glad to see I'm not the only one saving blankets, although I didn't make mine. I'm too lazy. Other people make my blankets. But I love how everyone includes their laptops. *they have taken over the world, muahahaha!*
