Today we're combining YA Highway's Road Trip Wednesday with Sarah Enni's Best of 2011 Blog Carnival, and listing the top five books we read in 2011.
Here are mine:
How To Save a Life - Sara Zarr
Where She Went - Gayle Forman
Revolution - Jennifer Donnelly
The Scorpio Races - Maggie Stiefvater
Before I Die - Jenny Downham
What were your favorites? Leave a link to your post in the comments at YA Highway!

I haven't read any of these. Yet.
ReplyDeleteWe share two faves :) I also loved your other 3 BUT choosing five (FIVE?!?!) is so dang hard.
ReplyDeleteI liked The Scorpio Races quite a lot, too. So unique.
ReplyDeleteI got Revolution for Christmas, so excited to read!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, my favorite read of the year is Dark Inside by Jeyn Roberts. It is A. MA. ZING.
If I didn't read Hunger Games (finally) this year, Where She Went would've received my best read of the year. SO amazing. And I have How to Save a Life in my gihugic TBR pile. I'm very excited to read that one.
ReplyDeleteHaven't read any of these. Yet, like Alicia mentioned lol
ReplyDeleteBut I'm itching to get to The Scorpio Races and Revolution sounds so amazing!
Thanks for sharing!
REVOLUTION has an intriguing cover... makes me want to check the book out.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! WHERE SHE WENT and HOW TO SAVE A LIFE are both in my TBR pile and I can't wait to get to them now that the stress of the holidays is beginning to subside :)
ReplyDeleteREVOLUTION, WHERE SHE WENT, and THE SCORPIO RACES are among my faves from this year too, along with DIVERGENT, LOLA, and CHIME. And I've got BEFORE I DIE sitting on my nightstand... I think I'm going to start it tonight. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you have BEFORE I DIE on there. I read that this year, too, and loved it. Yes, it did tear my heart out and then rip it to shreds, but it was so good!
