Also:
Too much to copy and paste, but check out NBC Gold:
Highlights of Olympic commentary like ""He's obviously very strong...physically"
and "That woman is flesh and skin, but her bones are iron wrought in the fires of Mordor."

Surface of Mars is funny too.

  3. "New Adult" = trying to make "fetch" happen -- made me LOL. I am one that doesn't get the need for the genre label, but I'm not against anyone writing about people aged 18-25 or whatever. I get the arguments for it, but still... the tweet sums it up for me.

I didn't see CJ Redwine's tweet about the RWA rules. I just joined RWA this year and the contest rules for the RITA and Golden Heart have everyone in a tizzy. I didn't realize they changed anything specific in YA. That's new to me and kind of a shock. Although personally I'm safe since I write YA sans any paranormal or fantasy elements. Still -- this year's RITA YA winner wouldn't even qualify under those new rules!

    1. Yeah, I don't feel too strongly either way, though it seems like a losing battle. But I try to snag tweets that represent various takes on an issue, not necessarily my own (though obviously that's an influence).

I actually know nothing about the RWA change-- I should find some good links for next week's YA Highway post. Send them my way if you see any!
