Contemporary LGBTQIA+ stories
T.S. Ferguson at Inkyard Press has acquired world rights to a new short story anthology edited by Saundra Mitchell. A contemporary follow-up to the historical anthology All Out, the book will feature LGBTQIA+ characters in modern times, written by LGBTQIA+ authors. Contributors include Eliot Schrefer, CB Lee, Mark Oshiro, Kosoko Jackson, Hilary Monahan, among many others. The book is scheduled for spring 2020; Jim McCarthy at Dystel & Goderich Literary Management negotiated the deal.

Feminist stories of witchcraft

 Michael Strother at HarlequinTeen has acquired TOIL & TROUBLE, an anthology of feminist stories of witchcraft, co-edited by Tess Sharpe and Jessica Spotswood and featuring contributions from Brandy Colbert, Zoraida Cordova, Andrea Cremer, Kate Hart, Emery Lord, Elizabeth May, Anna-Marie McLemore, Tehlor Kay Mejia, Karuna Riazi, Lindsay Smith, Nova Ren Suma, Robin Talley, Shveta Thakrar, Tristena Wright, and Brenna Yovanoff. The book will be published in fall 2018; Jim McCarthy at Dystel, Goderich & Bourret brokered the deal for world rights.


Krestyna Lypen and Elise Howard at Algonquin Young Readers have bought HERE WE ARE and (DON'T) CALL ME CRAZY editor Kelly Jensen's BODY TALK, a YA anthology of essays, artwork, poetry and other ephemera, which goes beyond the requisite puberty book or sex talk to address the entire experience of the physical body, from the biological to the political. Contributors include Roshani Chokshi, Anna-Marie McLemore, Eric Smith, Alex Gino, Julie Murphy, Nic Stone, Shane Burcaw, Sara Saedi, and Yao Xiao, among others. Publication is slated for fall 2020; Tina Dubois at ICM partners negotiated the deal for world rights.
